The effect: show a shoelace that is covered in dots with a wave of a hand. The dots are removed. 
Jokes and bits to do with the spotted shoelace: 
 1.hold up a yellow spotted lace and say this is named after my dog. Do you know what his name is? Kids usually say Spot then place the shoelace in your hand as you pull it through it turns to yellow and say no his name is Old Yeller.  
 2. Hold up the spotted lace take out a bottle marked spot remover spray on the lace, pull it through your hand and show it now plain yellow..
